The F# E# or F## error codes indicate a system error. Follow these steps when you see these error codes.

  1. Press START/PAUSE one time to clear the code.
  2. Press START/PAUSE a second time to restart the washer.
  3. If the code still appears, Contact Maytag.

HC

The HC error code indicates a reversed installation of the hot and cold inlet hoses. This code appears when a wash cycle finishes. When this code appears, follow these steps:

1. Turn off the water supply to your Maytag washer.

2. Reverse the hot and cold inlet hoses.

LdL

The LOC or LC error codes indicate the machine’s Control Lock has been initiated. To remove the error code, press the Control Lock button. If there is no Control Lock button on your model, which is often the case with older models, use the Use & Control Guide that came with your machine to identify which buttons activate and deactivate this Control Lock function.

dET

The dET error code indicates there is no detergent cartridge detected in the washer’s dispenser. When this code appears, verify the dispenser cartridge is correctly inserted and closed.

Int

The Int error appears when the machine cycle pauses or is canceled mid-cycle. In this case, let the washer spin and drain for 30 minutes to remove excess water. Once completed, press the Pause or Cancel button two times and then press the Power Button once time to remove the code.

rL or F34

The rL or F34 error codes indicate that the machine detects items in the machine while running a Clean Washer cycle. When this code appears, remove any items from the machine’s drum, and restart the Clean Washer cycle.

Sud or Sd

F8 E2

The F8 E2 error code indicates a problem with the machines’ dispenser system. Eliminate any excess build up in the detergent drawer or detergent cartridge.

F9 E1

The F9 E1 error codes indicate slow drain time resulting in drainage taking too long. Check the following when you see this code:

1. Utilize only HE detergent to allow the proper speed of drainage.

2. Remove any kinks in the hose.

3. Remove any clogs in the hose.

4. Be sure you have used the U-shaped drain hose form on your drain hose.

5. Verify you have utilized the proper height requirements for the drainpipe. The height requirements are 96″ or 244 cm max and 39″ or 99 cm minimum.
